And formerly of Rathleek, Dunboyne, Co. Meath, June 15th 2026 peacefully surrounded by her family in the loving care of the staff at North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo. Predeceased by her husband James (Jim) and her siblings Nancy, Bunny, Anthony, Joe, Teresa and Sr. Patricia (M.M.M.).
Dearly loved mother of Stephen, Tomás, Michael and John.
Sadly missed by her loving family, sisters Sr. Aengus (Sisters of Nazareth) and Chris McGrath, daughters-in-law Marilou, Katharina, Gráinne and Geraldine, grandchildren James, Padraig, Seán, Fionn, Caoileann, Oda, Lugh, Sé, Emily and Eve, greatgrandchildren Mahalona and Ciara, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Seán Feehily’s Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo from 5.00pm to 7.30pm on Thursday June 18th. Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated at 11.30am on Friday June 19th in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sligo. Funeral Mass will be livestreamed at www.churchservices.tv/sligocathedral
Burial follows in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Scarden, Strandhill Road, Sligo.

Philomena (Phil) Carty was from Ballydoogan, Sligo.
The funeral includes a Mass of the resurrection at 11.30am on Friday June 19th in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sligo, followed by burial in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Scarden, Strandhill Road, Sligo.
