Mc Carthy, Gerard, Shannon Oughter, Sligo and formerly of Dublin, January 14th 2022, peacefully in the excellent care of North West Hospice, The Mall, Sligo, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his brother Diarmuid. Beloved partner of Nora and dearest friend of Brenda, Oisin, Tristan and Cillian. Dearly loved by his sisters Mary and Ita, brothers Padraig, Donal and Justin, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and his circle of faithful friends. Rest in peace.
Reposing at Seán Feehilys Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo (F91EH98) on Sunday January16th from 6pm to 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday January 17th in St. Colmcille's Church, Rathcormac, Co. Sligo at 2:30pm. Burial follows in Rathcormac Cemetery, Sligo. Funeral Mass will be live streamed via link www.churchservices.tv/rathcormac. Due to Covid 19 guidelines family home will be private. Funeral Mass will be limited to family and close friends only. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to North West Hospice Fund via www.feehilys.ie/pay The family thank you for your cooperation at this sad time, for those who would have liked to attend but cannot due to restrictions please leave a message in the condolence section below. Dear Nora, Dear Mary, Ita, Donal, Padraig, Justin, Fred, Fergus, Geraldine, Olivia, I am very sad to hear of uncle Gerard's passing. He was such a lovely gentle man, with great empathy and kindness. May he rest in peace. I wish you all strength in this difficult time. Unfortunately I cannot be there today due to the current covid circumstances.
