Fran, Bill, Libby, John, Paul, deepest sympathies on the loss of your dad but my goodness, what a wonderful life he led! A perfect gentleman, good to the core, always a smile on his face. I remember his last visit to St. Johns several years ago. How I popped down to Clifton one day and he was planting vegetables out in Auntie Issies garden. No one asked him to do this, he just did it because he thought it might help. It really struck me, that level of generosity. You must be so proud of your dad, of the example he set, and happy that he is now reunited with your lovely mom.

Seeing condolences to all the O'Connor family at this time.Doc Oc was one of my favourite people. He loved life and he loved to laugh. I will always remember the wonderful family dinners we had on Boxing Day on Waterford Bridge Road in Newfoundland, blueberry picking in Conception harbour, boating on Conception bay and many great visits both in NL and Ireland. xoxo

Dear Fran, Bill, Libby, John and Paul We loved your dear dad, and feel so lucky that we had a part of him, as such a close friend, all these years. Our families have shared many happy memories together, with your dad at the center; these happy memories will remain forever. And of course, we have the tree in our front garden that your dad planted, and that has been a daily reminder of your Dad. Our sympathies to all. Bill Goodridge and family, St. John's, Newfoundland.

To John, Frances, Bill, Elizabeth and Paul, Jane and I send our sincere condolences on hearing of your dear father's passing. I well remember "Dr O'Connor", as I knew him as a young boy, while visiting with John in your family home on Waterford Bridge Road in St John's. Brian was one of the first men I ever knew who smoked a pipe, which made him look rather distinguished I thought. I recall he also had a very large collection of the novels of the British writer Hammond Innes, which I can still picture in my mind some 5 decades later. You can take comfort in the fact that he's now happily reunited with his beloved Mary. My own father, the late Dr John's is looking forward, I'm sure to reminiscing with Brian of the days they spent together as medical students at University College, Dublin. Sincerely, Peter Williams and Jane Leibel

My deepest condolences to Fran,Bill,Libby, Paul and John and the extended family. Your dad was such a great friend of our family and he was a part of our lives for as long as I can remember. Loved our times together on Waterford Bridge Rd in St.Johns and during our trips to Sligo from Nfld. The years would melt away when our families would see each other. I hope you will find peace in happy memories of your father. He and Mary are united once again. God bless. Eileen

Fran, Bill, Libby and Paul Nanette anD I wanted to pass along our sincere sympathies to each of you. We have just finished watching the funeral mass and burial. A beautiful ceremony and such nice comments made about your Dad. I have to say I especially loved the casket for its simplicity. Your dad was someone I had so much respect for and it was so sad for us when you guys move back to Ireland. As I said to Libby earlier in the week, your dad was my father's closest friend and Dad had very few close friends but many acquaintances. Your Dad was a man of such generosity, vitality and always seem so happy and pleasant. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him but no one more than you guys and your children. I know Mom and all of my siblings watched the ceremony online. Bill it was nice that you to mention our family and other friends of your father and mother from Newfoundland. Love to you all and hope to visit in the not too distant future. Nanette and I are about to head off for a One year assignment in Australia and after that I expect I'll retire and we will have more time to travel. Much love Doug and Nanette

So sorry to hear of Brian's passing. We both lost our spouses around the same time in 2016 and it was so comforting to be able to talk to Brian who kept his sense of humour. He was a real gentleman. May he enjoy a fully deserved peace now. Sincere sympathy to all the family. Con Kealy.

I only meet your Dad once with Bill after his wife's passing in 2016 . I still laugh after his comments on Cob-webs , he declared "do NOT remove those cobwebs as they are ESSENTIAL to catch the flies " ...! very wise. I'm sure you have many memories and will miss him greatly. May Brian rest in peace. Lorcan and Cyril.
