Elizabeth (Betty) Downes (née Thompson),
Treacy Avenue, Sligo, formerly of Galway City, peacefully at home in the exceptional care of her daughter Eilish.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Seán, her parents and her sister Mary. Betty will be greatly missed and remembered with love by her children John, Willie, Owen, Geraldine, Fabian, David, Lorraine, Eilish and Patrick, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren Senan, Fionn, Shane, Darragh, Patrick, Fearghus, Conor, Seán, Robert, Bláithín, Emma, Jack, Kevin, Patrick, Ronan, Peter, Jack and Siobhán, great-grandchildren Ceola, Seán and Finn, her lifelong friend Teresa, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, friends and her carers Finola and Laura.

Reposing at Seán Feehilys Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo on Sunday, November 9th from 2pm with removal at 5pm to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Sligo arriving for Reception Prayers at 5:30pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, November 10th at 11:30am and will be livestreamed via wwwsligocathedral.ie. Burial will follow in Saint Patricks Cemetery, Scarden, Strandhill Road, Sligo.
