Dearbhla Gill

The death has occurred peacefully of Dearbhla Gill of Rosses Point, Co. Sligo (Principal Teacher of S.N. Réalt na Mara, Rosses Point) on 2nd December 2025 at North West Hospice, Sligo, surrounded by her loving family, following an illness borne with dignity and courage.

Dearbhla is predeceased by her beloved father, John Gill. Deeply missed by her heartbroken family, her adoring mother, Cáit, siblings Brian, Róisín and John, sisters-in-law Niamh and Sheila, her much loved nephews and nieces - Jarlath, Amélie Jane, Aidan, Alice, Arann and Aoife, relatives, dear friends, neighbours, colleagues and pupils (past and present).

Reposing at Seán Feehily’s Funeral Home, Carton Cross, Sligo (F91EH98) from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, 5th December with removal to St. Columba’s Church, Rosses Point arriving at 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 12 noon on Saturday 6th December.

Burial to follow in adjoining Rosses Point Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in Dearbhla’s memory may be made to North West Hospice, Sligo or SHOUT (Sligo Hospital Oncology Unit Trust).
